Manage Posts - Your List of Posts
When you visit the manage posts page of your admin section you will be faced with some search options and a list of the posts in your blog.
The search options include:-
Search Terms
Type in the word you want to search for and all the relevant posts will be displayed in a list for you.
Status
Search through your published, draft or private posts.
Month
Select a month and you will be shown all the posts that were published in that month.
Category
Select a category to view a list of the posts from that category only.
The detailed list of posts has several columns which mean:-
ID
This is a unique ID number for the posts. It is this number that your WordPress database uses to identify your posts
When
This is the exact date and time that your post was published on to your blog.
Title
This is the title you gave your post when it was created.
Categories
This section will list all of the categories that you published the post too. Each category name is also a link to view the category on your blog.
Comments
This section contains a number. This is the amount of comments which have been made on that particular post. The number is also a link to theManage Comments page where you can manage the comments on that post.
Author
This is the name of the user who published the post to your blog.
View
This is a link so that you can view how the rest of the world will see your post.
Edit
This is a link so that you can edit the content of the post. You will be directed to the Write Post page where you can ammend the content of your post and change the options.
Delete
Beware…… This permanently deletes the post. You will see a warning which will tell you that, once deleted, it cannot be undeleted.
The Manage Tab
In the manage tab you have 7 sub options. These are:- (please click to continue to the relevant page)

- Uploads
- Categories
- Files
- Import
- Export
All the content of your WordPress blog can be managed through your Admin section. The manage tab concentrates on the phsical content of your websites like your posts, pages, categories, uploads and files. You can also manage the import and export of your blogs content on the manage tab.
